Meet Amy Genson
A family woman now caring for your family.
Amy Genson is a professional gerontologist with both Bachelors and Masters degrees from the esteemed Davis School of Gerontology at USC. Amy has been involved in the field of aging since 1993, as a clinician and as a licensed administrator.
Amy truly enjoys giving back to the community she serves. In addition to her work at 805Aging, Amy currently is serving on the Conejo-Valley based Senior Adult Master Plan health team, which is a collaborative effort involving the Thousand Oaks Council on Aging. Amy is also active with the Conejo Senior Resource Network and the Financial Abuse Specialist Team.
Amy is passionate about elder care and meeting the emotional and social needs of older adults.
Amy was fortunate to have had four healthy and active grandparents in her life well into her late teens. The relationships she formed with each of her grandparents paved her path into the field of gerontology and, also, shaped who she is today. Amy’s own experience as a caregiver inspired her to start 805Aging.
Since the time of Amy’s grandparents, she has seen a rising trend of families facing a crisis and not knowing where to turn. Whether it’s an emergency or the steady decline of an elder, family members often are unfamiliar with all that caring for an aging loved one entails. Amy incorporated her detailed knowledge of a broad spectrum of local resources and services with current trends in senior care to create 805Aging. Our mission is to help enrich the lives of our community based seniors and to assist family and friends in managing the emergencies and other aging-related changes taking place in their loved ones’ lives.
Our signature workflow ensures that your loved one receives the best care possible.
